WhatsApp integration paused.

At TensorThings, the development of secure software is the highest priority.
It is therefore not surprising that we also take the utmost care when integrating third-party providers.

At the moment the WhatsApp connection is a questionable issue:

On 11 May 2022, the EU Commission made a second legislative proposal, which is to force all providers of email, messaging, and chat services to comprehensively search all private messages in the absence of any suspicion. The European Parliament and the Council of the EU will discuss amendments. The deliberations could be completed by the end of 2022.

Since communication with companies always involves trade secrets, the EU’s plans are diametrically opposed to the wishes of customers and companies.
Therefore, the already manufactured and ready-to-use tool for WhatsApp from TensorThings will not be delivered as long as the scope of the plans and their impact on you as a customer are unknown.

As soon as WhatsApp, as the operator, communicates its revenue plans clearly and in full, we will decide in consultation with you whether and to what extent the integration will take place.

But until that time we will have to pause in this part of the continuous development.
